Nanette L. Avery 

 Nanette L. Avery is a teacher and accomplished writer, having authored a number of works, most notably Sixty Jars in a Pioneer Town, a historical fiction novel, which has enjoyed widespread popularity. My Mother's Tattoo And Other Stories For Kids is illustrated by the author and the perfect book to read aloud at bedtime or anytime!

With half a dozen or more articles in Teaching K-8 Magazine, Instructor Magazine, and numerous articles in other academic publications, Nanette's expertise is well renowned in educational circles. Not just successful as a writer, Nanette has been invited to speak at numerous writing workshops, book festivals, and literacy conferences throughout Florida.

Recognized nationally,
Nanette is a two time recipient of the Teachers as Heroes Award presented by the Dade Reading Council, the Dade Reading Council Literary Grant, and many other prestigious awards. Nanette currently resides in Miami, Florida.
